UncommonSample

“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.” Colossians 3:23-24
God tends to talk in binaries regarding our relationships with others. Wives and husbands, children, and parents. God also talks about the boss and employee relationship in the book of Ephesians.
This week, we are discussing how to approach our jobs in a Christ-honoring way. The good jobs, the bad jobs, the temporary jobs, the job searches, etc. We want to explore what Jesus says about our work because it matters to Him. We want to be set apart as employees and bosses and bring about the Kingdom of God in our workforces.
Let’s commit our work to prayer this week.
DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:
- Are you happy with your job right now?
- Do you believe you have a purpose in your job?
- In what ways could you partner with the Lord to bring about His plan in your work life?

About this Plan

The purpose of this devotional is to take a deeper look into the "uncommon" living for those of us walking with Jesus. We are declared holy through Christ, so how do we walk in that holiness? How can we be set apart and walk out our holiness?
