More to the StorySample

Want an easy-to-remember way to read and study the Bible? No matter which passage of Scripture you're reading, ask yourself these three questions: "What?" "So What?" "Now, What?" We'll show you how!
WHAT? What is this passage about?
What reason did God give for creating people?
SO WHAT? Why does it matter?
- This passage shows the beginning of God's story for humanity. What does it reveal about God's opinion of us from the start?
- How does knowing you're made in God's image shape your view of yourself? Of others?
NOW WHAT? What should I do about it?
- Have you ever questioned why you were created or why something about you is the way it is?
- At the creation of Adam, God gave the task of taking care of the land around him. What purpose can you see around you for participating in God's story?
- What's something you can do today to embrace being made in the image of God? What's a characteristic of your creator you want to imitate?

About this Plan

God's story is not a story meant to be put away on a shelf somewhere, but it's one we're meant to explore and experience because we're deeply connected to it. In this 4-week devotional series from Grow Curriculum, we'll take a look at the story of God and see how we can make a difference in our communities because we know there's more to the story.
