Get Off My Boat

DAY 3 OF 4

When we make the decision to get rid of stowaways, it can make many aspects of our lives easier. For some, it may cause whatever storm that is over your head and over your heart to cease completely, as the storm ceased for the crew of the boat that Jonah was on. For others, it may slow down the winds, but you may still feel as if things are not going okay. Know that God’s got it. The same Jesus that follows you through the clear weather and good times, will follow you and see you through the stormy weather and the rough times. Jesus is Jesus no matter what. In any situation, throughout your trials and your tribulations. Do not be fearful of upcoming storms or the changing of the winds. Your savior is among you. It is normal to be fearful, and we are only human. To have faith can be difficult when things are not going your way, but you must persevere. God is your lighthouse, and you must keep your eyes on him throughout the inclement weather. He is your compass and he will guide you throughout even the darkest of times, if only you seek him. Give thanks to the Lord throughout the good times, and reach out towards him when you are in need. He will not ignore you, and he will provide for you. I prefer to read over his words first thing in the morning, as it prepares me for the rest of my day and for any upcoming storms or obstacles that will get in the path of my boat. I strongly encourage you to do the same, as it has done wonders for me within my own life. How do you react when you are stressed out? How can you use God’s word to help you through this time?
