Acts 4:23-31
Psalm 2
Journal Exercise
Peter and John had just been released from prison where they had been threatened with punishment if they continued to preach. Bring to God the names of three church leaders, and yourself, that you will all have boldness to keep preaching Christ in the face of fear or threats.
Write a prayer naming three significant world or national leaders, and a significant leader in your community asking that they will submit to the Lord Jesus Christ and his justice, mercy, peace and love.
Write a prayer naming one possible government threat that you can see to the preaching of the gospel. Go to God, who is sovereign over all, about this.
A Challenging Prayer
Pray that God’s people will reform the life of the church (including our culture), which will in turn encourage the multiplication of faithful Christian fellowships, congregations and churches obediently living out and proclaiming God’s word in our villages, towns and cities and ‘in all the world.’
