The Good Boss
Our occupations are intended to be a means to resolve our necessities, yet it's easy for them to morph into sources of excessive preoccupation or stress, overshadowing their true purpose. Work is not meant to define us or become our identity; it's a part of life's multifaceted journey. God’s design for our labor is for it to be a source of joy, integrity, and enlightenment—a conduit for positive impact. As followers of Christ, we recognize that God is the ultimate proprietor, and in essence, we work for him. This perspective is liberating and brings about a divine attitude towards our daily tasks. As stated in Colossians 3:23-24, we are urged to "work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters." It's an invitation to serve with zeal and commitment, acknowledging that our true reward comes from the Lord Christ, whom we ultimately serve.
