Armor Up (For the Workplace)Sample

The Breastplate of Righteousness
When we trip and fall, we instinctively put our hands out to catch ourselves before we hit the ground. It’s a protective reflex. Similarly, if someone were to charge at us with a sword (I hope that's not something you've experienced!) we’d put our arms out over our body to try to protect ourselves. We know the core of our bodies contain vital organs and the breastplate is a piece of protective armor designed to protect them, especially the heart. We can put on the breastplate of righteousness to protect our hearts from the ways of the world and the attacks of the Enemy. Proverbs 4:23 emphasizes the importance of guarding our heart. Our small acts of righteousness are not sufficient protection, but Jesus offers us salvation and covers us with His all-sufficient righteousness. As you navigate your workplace, you have a layer of protection more powerful than anything man could create or provide.
PRAYER: Father God, thank you for the gift of salvation through Jesus. Guide me in guarding my heart, leaning on you when faced with temptations.
