7-Day Mental Health Challenge

DAY 6 OF 8

Day 6: Ask God For Help! Congratulations on reaching day 6 of this challenge. Your perseverance and commitment to making positive changes in your life, regardless of external circumstances, deserve recognition. We’ve all faced numerous traumas and experiences that can leave lasting impacts. It's up to us whether we allow these events to cultivate bitterness or empower us to rise above. Embracing a mindset of growth and improvement opens doors to endless possibilities. At this stage, you’ve likely realized the significance of building your foundation upon biblical principles and values. A scripture in the book of Joshua emphasizes the importance of meditating on God's word day and night, ensuring careful adherence to His teachings, leading to prosperity and success. Each challenge throughout this journey is firmly rooted in His word, which guarantees the fulfillment of His promises. Therefore, by diligently applying these principles, you can reach your promised land, a place of fulfillment and purpose. Acknowledging that the journey ahead may pose challenges, today's challenge is to seek help from the Lord. It's vital to recognize that, at some point, we all require assistance. Before turning to anyone else, I encourage you to approach God, seeking His guidance, from whom you should seek help. Whether it's finding misplaced keys, overcoming fatigue while cleaning the house, showing kindness to others, or even navigating the Bible, ask the Lord for help. To help facilitate your communication with the Lord, I invite you to reflect upon the passage in the book of John. In these scriptures, Jesus promises the Father will send the Holy Spirit as a Helper. Addressing the Holy Spirit directly signifies acknowledging His presence in your life. It invites His power to manifest according to God's will, pouring into your life and equipping you for His purpose. While you can address God or Jesus when seeking assistance, addressing the Holy Spirit recognizes His role as the third person of the Trinity, whom Jesus sent to us all as the Helper. You may express your request with gratitude and simplicity by saying: “Thank you, Jesus, for your Holy Spirit!” and..."Holy Spirit, can you help me with...?" "Holy Spirit, how should I proceed with...?" "Holy Spirit, can you help me find... (whether it be an item in your house or a passage in the scriptures)?" "Holy Spirit, can you help me comprehend this lecture, study material, or program?" By directly engaging with the Holy Spirit, you welcome His presence and power to work in your life and fulfill God's purpose in and through you. Remember, He's your helper and desires to actively participate in your journey.
