The Comfort of the Psalms in the Battles of LifeSample

God guides us
“Who is the man who fears the LORD? Him will He instruct in the way that he
should choose.” (Psalm 25:12)
There are many reasons why we need God’s guidance. Some of them are mentioned in this Psalm. What are they?
● There are so many possibilities that we don't know what to choose.
● We cannot foresee the consequences of our choices.
● We can feel so trapped that we see no way out.
● We are sinful, and we cannot trust ourselves to choose the right path.
That's why we yearn for God's guidance in our lives. There is a wonderful promise about that in Psalm 25:12: “Who is the man who fears the LORD? Him will He instruct in the way that he should choose.”
What a relief! We need God's guidance, and He is eager to provide it!
God gives guidance to a specific group of people. Verse 8 says, “Good and upright is the Lord; therefore, He instructs sinners in the way.” Why does God guide us? Because He is good! And who does He instruct? Sinners! In the end, that is all of us. When you have to admit that you are a sinner that is bad enough because it means you are lost. But here is the good news: “God instructs sinners in the way.” God wants to guide you, because He knows you need it.
Do you turn to Him for guidance?
