What Jesus Said About Confession of SinSample

It is the Work of the Holy Spirit to Convict You of Sin
God asks for a sincere heart, someone seeking His Will and willing to repent and turn away from sin.
We must be very serious about sin. Sin destroys our lives and hinders our communication with God.
Any form of sin hinders prayer and fellowship with God: Psalm 66:18 - If I had cherished iniquity in my heart, the Lord would not have listened.
Take a radical stand against sin. What sins in your life are you not confessing or breaking with? Those sins will do much harm and will hinder the Word of the Holy Spirit in our hearts.
Ask the Holy Spirit to show you what sins are in your heart. John 16:8 says that when the Holy Spirit comes, He will convict of sin. Don’t try to keep digging and digging about sin in your heart to find sin. Trust the Holy Spirit to show you the things that hinder Him from working in your life, the things that will eventually lead you to a place where sin will harm your relationships with other people, take away your joy in the Lord, and cause you to live outside the Will of God.
