In the Garden With Jesus - a Lent Journey for TeensSample

Jesus had habits. Things He often did. We also have habits, things that we do on repeat. Most of them we don’t even realise we do. Maybe you get up every morning at the same time. Or you start your day with coffee. Maybe you don’t even realise you have these habits. For 6 of our 16 awake hours, we are aware of what we are doing; the rest is habitual. Auto-pilot.
It is important to be aware of our habits. Our habits shape us. We become what we do. Jesus was aware of His habits. He chose to do certain things in a certain way. The invitation He extends to us is to adopt His habits.
Exercise:
Ask Jesus to show you your biggest habits and how they influence your life.
Prayer:
I ask for an awareness of Your work in my life.

About this Plan

You are invited to a Lent journey where we will spend 40 days with Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane - the place where He was extremely vulnerable and open to the Father’s will. Here, He shows us a glimpse of His courage to wrestle with His humanity.
