What Jesus Said About Making DisciplesSample

They had to do what Jesus did
When Jesus sent out the Twelve in Matthew 10:7-8 he said to them: As you go, preach this message: 'The kingdom of heaven is near.' Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, drive out demons.
Read Mark 16:14-20. As He was about to leave, Jesus spoke to the eleven. And when Jesus left, we read that the apostles went out and preached everywhere… (Mark 16:20). This is what we see in the book of Acts. But in Acts, it was not only the Twelve Apostles that preached, healed, taught and discipled – everyone was doing it! All of the new believers were filled with the power of God. All of them witnessed. All of them healed people. All of them discipled people. All of them taught others.
Everybody a follower of Jesus.
Everybody a disciple of Jesus.
Everybody a disciplemaker.

About this Plan

Jesus took 12 men, and for three years, He made them disciples and prepared them for the task He had in mind for them. After three years, with his ascension, Jesus said: “Go and make disciples.” He was actually saying to them: “Go and do the same as what I did.”
