Love Is a Verb!

DAY 4 OF 5

As Christians, we often talk about God's love for us, but how often do you stop and think about what it means for God to be love? It means that love is not just something He does, but it's who He is. His very character is love. You were created in the image of God, so love should also be at the core of who you are. It is not enough to know that God is love. You also have to live it out in your daily lives. What does it mean to truly love? In a world that often confuses love with feelings or emotions, you must turn to God's word for the true definition of love. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8a describes it as patient, kind, not envious or boastful, not self-seeking, not easily angered, keeps no record of wrongs, and always perseveres. This is how God loves you, and this is how He calls you to love others. You are called to reflect love to those around you. This is not an emotional or circumstantial love but a choice you make to imitate your Heavenly Father. Love should be the motivation behind everything you do. Whether serving others, sharing the Gospel, or simply going about your daily tasks, love should be at the forefront of our minds. Love requires action. In a world where hatred and division seem prevalent, be known for your love. Shine your light of love and point others towards Jesus. Think It Over! Are you shining your light of love? Prayer Heavenly Father, May every action, word, and thought in my life be filled with the power of love. Help me to love others as a reflection of your love. In Jesus name, Amen
