Better Together AdventSample

Reading
We see two groups of people visit Jesus to celebrate his arrival: shepherds and wise men. Shepherds were considered lower class. They worked in the fields with the sheep and weren't known for their intellect. On the other hand, the wise men were known for their intellectual abilities and dined with kings. On their way to meet Jesus for the first time, they had dinner with the king. We get a picture of God's heart when we see who shows up to his arrival. He's a God who loves the shepherds and the wise men. He loves the rich and the poor. He loves the whole world, and he came for everyone. Jesus wanted us to know from the beginning that we are better together. He wants us to know that everyone is welcome in his presence.
Prayer
Jesus, would I genuinely receive others in a way that makes them feel welcomed. Would the way that I live glorify your name.
Action
Invite someone into your home and ensure they feel the warm WELCOME of Christ's love.
