God’s Word Points the Way to Success It’s the same every weekend. Tens of thousands of people pack convention centers and hotel ballrooms across the country to hear self-help gurus and financial experts speak on how to be successful. Most of these events are slick and entertaining, with attendees caught up in the possibility of “realizing their potential” or “seeing their dreams become a reality.” And many of the people come away feeling motivated and helped. But how much of the advice they hear really squares with what God has said about how to succeed? According to today’s verse, true success isn’t about making money, positive thinking or getting people to do what you want. God defines success as knowing and doing his Word.
