It's PersonalSample

Moses originally spoke these words to the people of Israel, and Jesus went on to quote them as part of the Greatest Commandment for all who follow Him. Moses and Jesus were saying God doesn’t just want your obedience. God doesn’t want your loyalty. God doesn’t want your righteousness. God wants your heart, your love, your affection. God wants your love that isn’t just compartmentalized into a practice or habit we go through the motions of. God wants all of us. Even better, God doesn’t say this like it’s a requirement, but an invitation to love God, as God has already loved us!
Take some time to pray today: “God, we want you to be the center of our love. And we know that as we love you, the ability to love others as you have loved us grows. Keep drawing us back to you and your love, help us to experience it not as a command but an invitation and a gift to draw closer to you and who we know you to be: love itself.”

About this Plan

Everyone is different, yet we all share a common quality. Deep down, we were created to be deeply known by others and by God. We were made to experience relationships with others and a relationship with God that’s personal. Because when it’s personal, it changes things. Things matter more. People matter more. Over the next few weeks, we will discover a personal God and what that means for us.
