The Parable of the Rich Fool: 3 Key LessonsSample

Day 3: The Final Accounting: Measuring True Wealth
The term "you fool" resounds hauntingly in the parable as God addresses the rich man. Why? Because he failed to prepare for his ultimate accounting, which measures the state of his soul rather than the size of his barns.
We all will face this final accounting, where the value of our lives will be measured.
And newsflash—it will NOT be measured by the size of our bank accounts.
The questions we should be asking in preparation are things like:
- Have we obeyed where He has led us financially?
- Have we managed what He entrusted to us well?
Let’s pray:
God, let me never forget that my worth and value are never determined by the amount (or lack) in my bank account but based on the price Jesus paid. Help me to focus on building true wealth that lasts beyond this life. Amen.
