Preparing for Marriage Biblically

DAY 14 OF 31

THE LAW OF THE TRIANGLE IN MARRIAGE The law of the triangle is hinged upon the word of God in Psalm 112. The triangle is made up of the man and his wife at either side of the triangle, and God at the triangle’s apex. An average Jewish woman prays daily for her husband based on three Psalms namely, Psalms 112, 127 and 128. If you are a married woman and you’re thinking about what to pray for your husband, take those Psalms and start from there. Insert your husband’s name in the appropriate places and pray for him accordingly. These prayers are important because no woman can flourish beyond the fertility that her husband supplies. Every wife should understand that she is a planting in her husband’s life. That’s why God spends time to work upon a man. Some marriages have troubles today because the man has not discovered his purpose on the earth, hence, the woman does not know what she is to help him accomplish. It is the man’s responsibility to sit down and share things with his wife. The problem of humanity started because of the ineffective way Adam communicated God’s instruction to Eve. We blame women for not functioning effectively when in reality it is the man who is not effectively communicating the wife’s role to her. The woman is here to help the man. If you go to see a doctor because you have stomach upset and you tell the doctor that you have ear pain, the doctor will prescribe eardrops when what you need is something for stomach upset. You cannot blame the doctor for not prescribing the right medication to deal with stomach upset. PRAYER: Dear Lord, help me to properly communicate (receive) the instructions for my family to (from) my spouse as we both draw closer to You, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
