The Character of a Wise Woman, a 10-Day Plan by Allison DanielsSample

A wise woman knows when her assignment is complete.
2 Samuel 20:22b - …So he sounded the trumpet, and his men dispersed from the city, each returning to his home. And Joab went back to the king in Jerusalem.
How fascinating that this brave, wise woman is mentioned no more in scripture. She fulfilled her exact promise to Joab and her God-given assignment. Sheba was captured, and his head thrown over the wall to Joab's army. She slips away into this small part of the collective Biblical account, never heard of again.
Do you recognize when your season and assignment have come to an end? Wise women don't drag it out; they know when it is time to move on to the next thing God has prepared for them. Are you still stuck on the last assignment when God is calling you to the next one? Are you hanging on while someone else is trying to move forward in their purpose?
A wise woman discerns her time - knowing when to start, when to pause, and when to stop. She is comfortable with the closure of moments and seasons because a wise woman knows the end of obedience always produces the peace of God.
Reflection: Is your heart open or closed as seasons change? What transition is God preparing you for right now?
