Noah and the Flood
Listen to "Noah and the Flood":
Reflect
We can only imagine what Noah — and everyone else — thought as he built the first large boat. Surely nothing like it had ever been built before. Yet Noah’s steady obedience never faltered. Nothing sidetracked him. How do you build something you’ve never seen? God gave Noah immense wisdom and perseverance.
What mind-boggling task has the Lord given you? Is it to forgive someone who has done something intolerable? Is it to live with physical pain or limitations? Or to suffer immeasurable loneliness? The Lord stretches our capabilities to do far more than we could imagine. Look back and see how far you’ve come. Think of even the tiny steps you’ve taken in your unsolicited assignment. Continue steadfastly in obedience. The Lord will give you the capacity to endure and obey.
● What is the hardest assignment the Lord has ever given you?
● List the ways this story gives you hope as you face your own God-sized assignment.
Journal
