Jesus the FulfillmentSample

The Virgin
Isaiah also wrote the following prophecy,
"That's why the Lord will give you a sign: the virgin will become pregnant, will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel."
We don't know if Isaiah's prophecy referred to a virgin or just a young woman, but when the angel Gabriel appeared to Mary, he said, “You have been blessed by God! You will become pregnant and bear a son, and you will call him Jesus." She asked, “How will this happen if I'm a virgin?” And he answered, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will cover you with his shadow. So, the one who is to be born will be called Holy, Son of God. Now indeed, Elizabeth your relative has also conceived a son in her old age; and this is now the sixth month for her who was called barren. For nothing will be impossible with God."
And so, the prophecy was fulfilled.
