Holy Spirit, you are welcome in our home. Come in and bring peace between these walls. Fill our hearts with love for you and for each other. Soften our harsh words and encourage us to lift each other up. If need be, make us slower to speak and slower to rise to anger. Let this home be a safe place for those who enter it. Let communication be strong and compassion abound. Strengthen the bonds between us. Let us have unity between parents and children. Build up trust as a foundation. May your presence be evident in all we say and do. Rejoice with us in our play, and encourage us in our work. May those who are raised in these walls walk in peace when they leave. May they be bridge builders and peace makers, for blessed are the peacemakers. Thank you for promising to be near and to give us peace.
