The First Letter of JohnSample

We Are to Love One Another
The command of Christ and the glorious standard of God is that we love one another. This love triumphs despite not being reciprocated. We often make the mistake of only loving those who love us back. But triumphant, godly love is love that endures the world’s lovelessness.
Hate and murder are the opposite of love and eternal life. Our command from God is to bring love and life into the world. The world hates because the world only knows hate. How can they love if we don’t show them?
Devotional Question:
Who are three people that really don’t like me, and how can I show them love today?
About this Plan

1 John is one of the most quoted books of the Bible, and for a good reason: John understood God’s love in a special way. As we explore the pages of this book, let that be our main goal: to understand the love of God better and better, and to grow closer to Him.
