The 4 Living Creatures Series Part 4: The EagleSample

Discipline
Eagles have a process called “molting” that they go through every so often. This process involves the shedding of their plumage to make room for a fresh new set of feathers. In other words, they “shed” off the former covering, and take on the new one.
As the eagle, there are certain things that need to be shed off of our lives. Spiritual immaturity may need to be shed off and replaced with newfound discernment. Maybe you might be too comfortable where you are, whereas God is calling you back to a place of intensive prayer. It will take your discipline to grow into the man or woman that God is calling you to be. Today, rise to the challenge of shedding off old habits. As you do so, may the Lord cover you in a new “plumage” of strength, maturity, discipline, and grace.
