What Was I Made For? Uncovering Your God-Given PurposeSample

Day 1: The Search for Meaning
Ecclesiastes 1:1-11 gets real about the monotony of life. The more time we spend here on Earth, the wearier we grow of...everything. King David’s son, who is quoted in this passage, laments that “nothing under the sun is truly new” and that everything is “completely meaningless.”
That's the point. Daily life is repetitive and routine, and it’s easy to get jaded if we’re searching for meaning and significance in the grind. We’re always looking for things that will make us feel complete, but sometimes, that feels like catching the wind.
This passage reminds us that there’s more to life than the day-to-day and that maybe we should be looking for something deeper and more meaningful than what’s right in front of us. Purpose and fulfillment aren’t found in things we can see and touch.
Question: How often do you feel like you're chasing after something that doesn’t really last? Where else can you look for purpose and meaning in life?
