Do you hear grown-ups talk about America? Maybe they are worried about the news, or thinking about who to vote for, or wondering how to make our country better. Taking care of where we live is important. Our government helps us with all kinds of things like keeping people safe, teaching kids in school, even figuring out what to do with our garbage.
But how can a little kid help a big nation?
With God’s help, that’s how! You can pray! It is one of the most powerful things anyone can do. God says if the people in a country will pray to him, he will help them. He says if we turn away from our wrong ways, he will be with us. That is called repentance.
We need to ask God to forgive us when we do wrong, to show us the right things to do, and to protect us. We need to show God we love him by obeying what the Bible tells us to do. And we need to work at taking care of this amazing place we get to live in.
