Easter Meditations: The Price That Was PaidSample

GOOD FRIDAY
Christ is the Sacrificial Lamb
What a powerful act of agape love. An unmatched sacrifice that the world had never seen, and that cannot be rightfully compared to anything else.
Throughout His time on earth and in the lead up to His crucifixion, Jesus laid down many of His rights that we can often take for granted.
As you take time to read through those passages of the Gospel, consider these questions:
Reflect on the many aspects and dimensions of His sacrifice. What has Christ sacrificed for you?
Rather than leaving humanity to experience the consequence of sin, Christ took the weight of our sin upon Himself. How has Christ responded to you in ways that you weren't "deserving" of?
How do the final moments of Jesus' earthly life impact your life?
Ask God to convict you of righteousness in the ways that you have treated people with compassion and sacrificial grace when they may not have "deserved" it. Allow Him also to show you the ways that you can walk out in His leading and continue to reflect this grace to the people around you. Do any practical ways come to mind?
Let's pray:
Lamb of God, have mercy on me.
May my life reflect the unearned freedom and grace that you shower me in.
Amen.
About this Plan

In the days leading up to Easter Sunday, let's take some time to stop, dive deep into Jesus' journey to the cross, and invite Him to bring you fresh revelation of this season. It is helpful to have a journal with you as you reflect on the questions, and to track what God reveals to you in this time!
