There is some evil stuff in this broken world. We have battles in our own lives, struggles in our communities, and constant knowledge of the hardships happening across the globe. Even though Jesus won the victory against evil at the cross, the final battle has not been fought. So, we have to live in a world where good and evil still fight it out on a daily basis. The good news is we are not powerless. We have access to a God who loves us, cares for us, and fights for good on our behalf. And when we take our troubles and struggles to Him, we can rest assured we’ll find a defender ready to fight for our good.
So, when you see or hear of evil in the world, ask God to intervene. Ask Him to do exactly what you want Him to do. Ask Him to send angel armies to fight. Ask Him to crush enemies. Ask Him to rise up and fight against evil like the warrior He is. That’s what David did in this prayer, and it’s what you can do in your own. You can pray some powerful prayers and trust in God to fight for good on your behalf.

About this Plan

Stories teach us life lessons that stick with us well after the last page is turned. That may be why Jesus often told stories to convey a big idea or truth. He knew stories would connect with our hearts. We’ll dive into a few of those stories (parables) together. As we study, we’ll discover the power of those stories and how they can apply to our lives, as well as the power of Jesus as a teacher and a storyteller.
