Power for LifeSample

Congratulations! Today you will finish another book of the Bible! As you finish reading Mark today, return to the question, "Am I amazed by Jesus?" and spend a few moments reflecting on the life of Jesus as described by Mark. Then, move on to Psalm 25. This Psalm includes three main themes of prayer: confession, praise, and request. These are a fantastic guide to prayer and can be remembered using the acrostic C.P.R. An example of confession is, "For the sake of your name, Lord, forgive my iniquity, though it is great." (v. 11) An example of praise is, "you are God my savior, and my hope is in you all day long." (v. 5) An example of a request is, "Guard my life and rescue me; do not let me be put to shame." (v. 20) After reading Psalm 25 today, create your own prayer that includes the three parts of C.P.R. If you find a line in the Psalm that seems to say what you are feeling, feel free to include it in your prayer. After your time of prayer, reflect using the Notes feature of the YouVersion App.
