Joy to the World: An Advent Bible Reading PlanSample

Read Micah 5:2-4
About 700 years before Jesus, a prophet named Micah calls out the town in which the Messiah will be born. God knew the town where He would place His son 700 years beforehand. An insignificant place would become ground zero of the Messiah.
Pray
Micah names Bethlehem as the birthplace of the Messiah. Bethlehem was a small and insignificant town – pray that today you would have the same eyes for things that seem insignificant in your life. Perhaps God has big plans for the things you are overlooking.
Practice
Pick someone who often gets overlooked and today pull them aside and let them know how much they matter to you.
