Start the Party - High SchoolSample

Have you ever been caught in a worry spiral? You start thinking about something causing you stress, and then you think about the worst-case scenario and how everything is going wrong, and before you know it, thirty minutes have passed, and you are in a stage of pure panic. In this verse, Paul tells us not to worry but to pray. He doesn’t say this because everything will immediately improve if we pray. He tells us this because He knows praying does something worrying can’t. It changes our perspective. It reminds us that God is active in whatever we are stressed about. Even if circumstances don’t change, our hearts can. Try putting this verse to the test this week. Pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all he has done.
