LENT - a Journey for Teens: The Places We GoSample

Forgiveness
Practice forgiveness. I say practice, because it does not come naturally.
Jesus talks about forgiveness a lot, probably because He knew that we can’t live lives of abundance and freedom when we don’t forgive.
To be a follower of Jesus, but to be walking around with a heart full of resentment, is impossible. When we are faced with this brokenness, we realise why we also need to forgive others.
Exercise:
Think about the ways in which you are being held captive by unforgiveness?
Prayer:
Loving Heavenly Father, give me the grace of freedom from resentment. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

About this Plan

This Lent plan invites you to face that which you so easily avoid - your humanity, your brokenness, your sadness and disappointments. For the next 40 days, we will embark on an adventure filled with some alone time, prayer and fasting. Each day will provide a scripture, a guide, an exercise and a grace prayer which you can pray throughout your day.
