LENT - a Journey for Teens: The Places We GoSample

Enemies of Connection
A close enemy is one that is not easily recognizable. At first it looks the same as the desired quality. Here are a few close enemies of connection:
- Curiosity instead of real interest
- Inability to show pain instead of courage
- Performance instead of vulnerability
- Modesty instead of humility.
Exercise:
Ask God for discernment in your relationships. Look at close enemies that could possibly be present in your life – what can you do with them?
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I ask for the grace of connection and dialogue in my relationships. Let me glorify You. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.

About this Plan

This Lent plan invites you to face that which you so easily avoid - your humanity, your brokenness, your sadness and disappointments. For the next 40 days, we will embark on an adventure filled with some alone time, prayer and fasting. Each day will provide a scripture, a guide, an exercise and a grace prayer which you can pray throughout your day.
