Each Breath I Take I Will Speak God's PraiseSample

A second chance
“Bring my sons from afar
and my daughters from the ends of the earth—
everyone who is called by my name,
whom I created for my glory,
whom I formed and made.” (Isaiah 43:6-7)
Isaiah 43 brings both a reproach and a promise. The people of Israel had not fulfilled their commission to honor God and make His praise known among the other nations. On the contrary; their idolatry and disobedience were a disgrace to God's holy name. Therefore, they were driven out of their own land and scattered over the earth. But this does not exempt them from their calling! And therefore, the Lord also gives a promise. He will bring His people back and give them such grace that even the wild animals will honor Him. Then the people will proclaim His praise. In the end, they will realize their purpose because God gives them a second chance. Indeed, He will give them a new heart and a new spirit! His Holy Spirit will enable them to live according to God’s will and to spread His light throughout the world.
The people of Israel are not the only ones to have this calling. It applies to every human being. The Lord knows how difficult it is for us to live according to His purpose. Therefore, He wants to change our hearts and renew our minds so that we can do it. Do you seize that opportunity?
