Love Always: 5 Days to Strengthen Your MarriageSample

Undivided Devotion
What others may see as a restraint, lovers of God view as an honor and a privilege. We know devotion to the Lord and upholding his laws do more for us than for him. The Lord gave us laws for our benefit; they “promote good order” and help us live the best lives possible, and that is what God wants for us.
God knows that what we need most is him. He needs nothing, but he wants us. We need him. Undivided devotion will result in a deeper relationship with him, more satisfaction in life and in our marriages, and a better understanding of our calling and purpose which leads to fulfillment. If anyone has misled you into believing that Christianity is just a bunch of rules meant to stifle our excitement, you can rest assured that nobody is more exciting than the Creator himself, and he has big plans for us.
We offer you our undivided devotion, dear Lord. We rejoice in your laws and thank you for the benefit they bring to our lives.

About this Plan

The first days or weeks of marriage might feel easy; loving your spouse is as natural as breathing. But if you’ve been married for longer than a month, you’ve likely run into times when choosing love requires effort—sometimes a lot of effort. Commit your marriage to God. Spend time in his presence together.
