Jesus can Calm the Storms of Your Life Jesus knew that going over to the other side could mean walking into disaster and probably death for all those who were with Him. Yet when the tempest rose, He slept peacefully in the boat. Can you imagine the boat being tossed up and down, and side to side by the rough sea, water seeping in from everywhere? All this was happening and Jesus did not wake up! The disciples who were in the boat with Jesus began to worry and let the devil shake them up with these circumstances. They forgot the fact that the Son of God, Jesus Himself, was in the boat with them. When we are aware of God’s presence in and around us, our faith will increase on a daily basis. Storms of life – losing a job, health issues, not being recognized at the workplace for the efforts put in, and other problems, will not affect us because Jesus is always in the boat with us. Beloved, Jesus has promised that He will never leave you, nor forsake you (Mathew 28:20, Deuteronomy 31:8, Joshua 1:9, Isaiah 41:10-13) and that He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). When He arose from His sleep, Jesus rebuked the wind and the seas and they were calm. Jesus calms everything in our lives that disturbs us. Our responsibility is to trust in Him alone and know that He is right here with us. Prayer Daddy, God, I thank You for being with me not just during the great times of my life but also the difficult times. You can always calm the raging seas that keep lashing at me. Let this truth never depart from me Lord - the fact that You are with me always, even to the end of this age. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
