God is Your Roommate This verse is from one of the closing chapters of mankind and the known earth, before we prepare for the glorious eternity of ruling and reigning with Jesus. You will realize that, in this verse, the very purpose of God creating man in order to live with Him is finally completed. It gives me great strength for two reasons. First, it tells my story. And my story has a happy and glorious ending. The troubles of today are nothing compared to what awaits me as I decide to choose every day to live for Jesus. And second, I realize that I don’t have to wait for Jesus’ second coming in order to experience God. I can enjoy this privilege now! Today, I want to remind you to be conscious of the reality that when you asked Jesus to come into your heart and you accepted Him as your Savior, from that moment on God ‘moved in’ into your life and into your home. You are hosting God Himself! With the realization that you have God as your ‘roommate’ you face life and its challenges as a superhero. You can never be defeated, never be shaken, never be moved, and never be overtaken. As the head of your home, He fights your every battle and you celebrate this life together with Him. Prayer Father God, open my eyes to understand the reality that You are my roommate, that I have Jesus in my boat. Amen.
