The Blueprint for Life A couple of years ago, frustrated with a few decisions that I had to make, I looked at my mother and asked her why there wasn’t a manual to go through life. What she said really stuck with me, “Of course there is one! It’s called the Bible.” God created us. He laid out the plan for our life. No one can guide us through our life better than He can. To teach us how to live in victory, He gave us His Word. The Bible says, All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work (2 Timothy 3:16 NIV). To help us, He also gave us the Holy Spirit. He will teach us all things and remind us of everything God has said to us. Now, a student, who doesn’t pay heed to the guidance of his teacher, is not likely to do well in his exams. Similarly, if we don’t incline our ears to the teachings of the Word and the guidance of the Spirit, we will land up wasting all the resources that God has provided to ensure that we have life in abundance. Today, make a conscious decision to listen to what the Bible is saying to you. As you follow the directions, see your life pan out exactly the way God wants it to. Prayer Father, I thank You for Your Word. Thank You that You have given me everything I need to live my life in victory. Today, I choose to follow Your Word and pay heed to the Holy Spirit. Amen.
