Believe and Receive Jesus was surrounded by a great multitude from all sides even as He was heading to the house of Jairus because his daughter was unwell (verse 24). In the midst of this commotion, He felt power going out of Him and healing someone. Jesus had the power to heal and deliver, irrespective of the nature of the disease. All that He wants from us is to believe in Him. This woman, who had the bleeding issue for 12 years, may have been ridiculed, embarrassed and ashamed because of her illness. No physicians were able to heal her. She may have become an outcast in a male-dominated society. But when she heard about Jesus and the miracles He had done across the region, faith started building up within her. It didn’t matter to her what others thought, but she was willing to meet Him and touch Him and receive her healing…and she did! Often, I have prayed against headaches and I have experienced instant healing. I have prayed over sick people and Jesus has instantly healed them. Beloved, just as the woman believed in the power of God, we too can experience the same healing power today, because Jesus is alive and is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8). He is the changeless Christ!!! He healed, delivered, set free all those who came to Him during His life here on earth 2000 years ago. He does the same today, because He died and rose again and lives forever. All we need to do, is believe in this living God and He will surely show up. He came to give us abundant life – everlasting life – not just in heaven but while we live here on earth too. Just believe in Him and see His power manifesting in your life. Prayer Lord Jesus, I believe that You have the power to heal, deliver and set us free from any sickness, pain, anxiety, worry and disease. I want to live this wholesome life for You always. Amen.
