Precious Moments That Count For Eternity

DAY 107 OF 366

How Can We Remain Silent? Four lepers came upon the abandoned food and supplies of the Syrian army during a great famine. They immediately knew that this discovery had to be shared with others. This good news could not be kept for themselves. Even though they were outcasts, rejected and shunned by society on account of their disease, they didn’t hesitate to go to the king’s household with the good news. The gospel, the good news of Jesus, has freely come to us, and it is by grace that we are saved. Do we care enough to share what we have received? A hungry, lost world is suffering and dying, completely unaware of the good news we have, which is freely available to all. We, who have the answer, must tell them about the hope they can have in Jesus. The lepers discovered the blessing, enjoyed the blessing and cared enough to share the blessing. We can feast on Jesus, the bread of life; enjoy the strong meat of the Word of God, and the pleasures and treasures of being a child of God. We can come week after week to our place of worship and have our souls filled to the point of overflow, while those around us, our loved ones, neighbors and friends have never heard of the wonderful blessings we have in Jesus! Beloved, let nothing, especially the fear of man, keep you from sharing the blessings you have in Christ. The lepers were not afraid of being shunned by society, but made a decision to go and share the good news with the king. Today, we must go in obedience to Jesus’ command in Mark 16:15. “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” You are the carrier of the good news of Jesus! Prayer Heavenly Father, make me bold enough to share the good news with hungry souls around me, whose hearts You have prepared. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
