On this night without equal
our God wrote a sequel
To man’s hopeless legend of loss.
What began in a garden cried out for pardon,
God soon would provide through a Cross.
For that dear baby’s crying now forecasts a dying,
His coming is planned to bring life
And this heaven-sent stranger now laid in a manger,
Is God come to heal
And God’s love to reveal
God in flesh now appearing, Salvation is nearing
The earth-hope for peace now has come.
Open hearts now receive Him
Fear not to believe Him,
The Savior of man,
Here fulfilling God’s plan
In the Person of Jesus has come.
Come...and Behold Him!
