Charlie Brown says of his baseball team, “How can we lose when we’re so sincere?” But lose they do, and likewise many sincere people lose sight of God’s way of victory, drifting into deception without realizing they are off-target. But if our hearts are open to God, and we acknowledge before Him our ability to be deceived, something wonderful happens.
