So it was with Jesus when He plunged into the mineshaft of this world’s sin. Though sinless in Himself, He “suffered” the presence of sin and temptation. Yet, the even greater reality of Jesus’ victory over sin’s pressure and temptation is that while clothed in perfect purity and walking through the inky mine of all that provokes and produces human sinning, Christ continually embraced the sinful.
