Elevate: A Conversation on SuicideSample

Everyone loves an underdog! An underdog is a competitor who is thought to have zero chance of winning, yet sometimes they come out at the end of the game with a big move or good play where they make the winning point and win the game. It seems as if all odds are against the underdog, yet with the help of their team, they come out on top. This verse makes me think of this. Sometimes in life, we can feel like the underdog. We are faced with hard things in life, and it seems like all odds are against us, and there is no hope. When we allow ourselves to face these things alone, more often than not, we end up losing in the end in some area of our lives. But when we allow God to be our help, we have a stronger chance of conquering the battles we face. Because of God's help, we can have hope that when life becomes hard, we don’t have to face it alone. When we trust in and lean on God in hard times, we can look for victory, and with God, there is always help and hope. Today, think of an area in your life where you can ask God for help. Then, ask for help, trust in God, and receive the help and hope that God offers.
