How to Know if They Are the OneSample

It's important to have wise counsel around you when trying to decide who to marry. It is a very important decision in our life and God can use the people around us to see the things we cannot. Love can be blinding and mentors, friends, and even family often see the blind spots we are not concerning that person. However, if the person shows signs of controlling abusive behavior, prohibits you from seeing your friends and family, or limits your time with them, be careful. It is not healthy to spend all your time together, it is a sign of obsessive love. It is an unhealthy, possessive behavior when the person follows you, always checks where and who you are with, and they are jealous of anything or anyone that competes for your attention. Do not stay in that relationship because if they bring that behavior into marriage, you will be miserable. If the godly people around you do not support your relationship, consider if there is a future with this person. Also, if you enter a relationship with someone who isolates you from everyone and everything else in your life, especially God, get out of that relationship. If after reading this plan you realize that the person you are dating is not the one, take the hard next step to end the relationship. It will be difficult and even painful, but it is better to wait for God to bring the right person to you than it is to wait for God to change the wrong person you brought to Him. Let's Pray: God, I want to be in a relationship that revolves around You, You as the center and as our priority. I trust in Your timing and will wait for the right person. Thank You, Lord.
