Week 3: O Lord, I Am Weak THE WATER OF HIS WORD Read Matthew 5:4 and Philippians 2:5-8. Ask the Lord to search your heart. What sins do you need to lay before Him? What do you see in your humanity that keeps you from walking in the Spirit of humility? WALK ON TRUTH Consider what it means to truly mourn your sin. Ask God to give you the ability to see your sin as He sees your sin. Read through Revelation 2-3. If you don’t have time right now, maybe you can come back to this later today. It is important to ask the Lord to search your heart. When our hearts are clinging to things other than the Lord, we are inclined to be much more fearful. While you read, ask God to search your heart and reveal where you may have lost your first love, where you may love the things of this world, where there may be unbelief, or where you may hold to false teaching. Ask Him for His mercy to help you agree with Him, confess, and repent. Call out to Him in prayer, knowing He hears your cry. FOCUS THE EYES OF YOUR HEART Quietly recite today’s focus verses to yourself. Hide them in your heart, meditate on them, and make them your prayer throughout the day. Matthew 5:3-5 Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.
