No matter your field. No matter your level of influence or expertise—prayer is essential to your growth and development as a leader. Prayer is fuel for your next level. Prayer is not a means to get more “stuff”. Prayer is an intimate relationship and connection with God. Prayer is communication with God. Prayer is communion. Your “behind the scenes” communion with God is directly tied to your spiritual growth and development as a leader. When you increase your private prayer life—you’ll watch your capacity as a leader grow exponentially. When God trusts you—He enlarges your territory. When God trusts you—He gives you the opportunity to steward over more people and resources. When you pray—God will exalt the work of your hands. When you pray—God will exalt you. For Psalm‬ ‭23:5‬ ‭KJV‬‬ declares, “Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies.” Let God reward you publicly. For the Lord will prepare a table before you in the presence of your enemies. Private consecration is the key to your next level. Private consecration will develop your character. What you choose to do “behind the scenes” carries weight and strengthens your leadership framework. Your next level is directly tied to your private consecration. How you choose to handle matters “behind the scenes”, matters to your growth and development as a leader. When you choose to let God order your steps, even if you’re in the backside of a desert—God will lead the work of your hands.
