"Just Believe" is all over the place during the Christmas season. Movies, store windows, and even schools encourage kids to believe in the spirit of the season. How easy was it to trust that we were worthy of good things when we were little? And how much harder has it become once we learned how disappointing the world can be as we've gotten older?
If we, being people who mess up sometimes, know how to give good gifts to children, how much more will God look out for us? In the book of Matthew, Jesus unpacks this by explaining just how good God is. Being a good parent, God wouldn't betray our trust. So the question is, how can we know that God can be trusted? God wants the absolute best for us, which is why Jesus was promised to the world long before he was born. When God makes promises, good gifts are always delivered.
What would it take to believe God has your best interest in mind?

About this Plan

It wouldn’t be Christmas without angels! You’ll find them everywhere this Christmas season. They’re on Christmas trees, ornaments, greeting cards, carols, movies, and nativity sets. They’re all over the pages of Scripture, too. That’s because angels played an important role in the very first Christmas. In this 20-day devotional series from Grow Curriculum, we’ll discover why angels were and still are so important in the Christmas story.
