Titus was able to help Paul instruct the various churches that Paul worked to establish. Each church had internal struggles with leadership and membership. Paul also wrote to remind the church of its ultimate mission, spreading the gospel to others. Paul and Titus needed to address the issues within the church so that its members could effectively accomplish their true purpose, leading others to saving faith in Christ.
“Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety” (Proverbs 11:14).
