Prospering in PandemoniumSample

The Purpose of Position
God wants to bless His people, but first, He needs us to be positioned correctly.
What do I mean by position? I’ll explain.
In Malachi 3:10-12, God commands the Israelites to bring all tithes into the storehouse. Then, He states the floodgates of heaven (depending on the translation you read) will pour out so much blessing that there won’t be room to store it. God wants to bless them beyond their means, but He first desires obedience. Before the Israelites can receive this abundance, they must position themselves for obedience.
We too, must position ourselves. We too, must obey the Lord before we expect blessing from Him. Whatever He commands of us.
In Genesis 12, we see the purpose and importance of position once again. God tells Abraham (at this time Abram) to leave his country to a new land He will show him. Following this command, He tells Abram that He will make him into a great nation and bless him abundantly. It is important to note that this promise came after His command to gather his family and leave. God needed Abram to obey Him and go to the correct position before he received the blessing.
