Identity in Christ: A 40 Day JourneySample

Part 3: Truths about Me
Day 22: I am chosen
Some world views would have us believe that life is completely random. Where we are, our futures and our experiences are a matter of chance without divine direction. The Bible has a very special message for each of us: we are chosen to be a part of His Kingdom and worship Him. He chose you, specifically, to know Him.
Let's Pray
God, thank You that You Yourself have predestined and chosen me to belong to You. Even before You made the world, You chose ME to be Yours. I am not a Christian by mistake; I am not a Christian by accident or by choice of another person. I belong to Your family because You want me to. I am sorry for the times that I believed You didn’t want me or that I did not fit into Your family. I choose today to believe that You hand-picked me as Your child. Please help me grow in confidence and believe that you have chosen me! Amen

About this Plan

Knowing our identity in Christ - knowing who He says we are to Him - is one of the most powerful ways to enable ourselves to draw closer to God. Knowing our true identity is part of our roadmap to sanctification. We realise how free we truly are and how much He wants to lavish His love on us and fill our lives with purpose and meaning.
